the values behind Applefy
Quality that outlasts the deadline, a product you own outright, and an honest answer before the contract rather than in month four. A founder-led mobile and web development company since January 2023 — 30+ specialists, led from Valencia, Spain, with engineering across Ukraine.
What Applefy is
Applefy is a premium mobile and web development company, founded in January 2023 and incorporated as Applefy LLC in Delaware in 2024. We take products from the first conversation to a live, maintained application — discovery, design, engineering, QA, launch, and the long tail of support that follows. We are not a staffing marketplace and not a reseller: the people who scope your project are the people who build it.
Most of our work is native. Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android, SwiftUI for watchOS and iPadOS — with React Native or Flutter where one shared codebase genuinely serves the product rather than just the budget. On the web we build with modern React and TypeScript. Design is part of every engagement; we do not hand engineering a specification and hope.
We work best with founders and product teams building something they intend to run for years, and the numbers we watch reflect that. Around 95% of clients continue past their first engagement and the average partnership runs beyond eight months — which is the figure that matters most, because it is the one no single good sales call can manufacture.

Who runs it

Denys Havryliak
Founder & CEO
Applefy is led by Denys Havryliak, its founder and CEO — and the person who takes the first call on every project. He has been in software since 2014 and shipping iOS professionally since 2017, on everything from a two-person startup team to New Look’s enterprise retail app serving seven million users. He completed a master’s in Computer and Information Systems Security at Lviv Polytechnic in January 2025.
That is a deliberate structure, not a scrappiness we are apologising for. The gap between what an agency promises in a pitch and what it delivers in month four is usually the gap between the person who sold it and the people who built it. Here the first conversation and the architecture decisions belong to the same person.
- Shipping iOS professionally since 2017
- MSc, Computer & Information Systems Security
- Enterprise scale: New Look, 7M+ users

Where we work from
Applefy is led from Valencia, Spain, our engineering team works from across Ukraine, and the company is incorporated in Delaware. Three places on one line looks like evasion until you see what each one is: a European base for contracting, invoicing, and meetings inside your working day; a senior engineering bench that has been building together for years rather than being assembled per project; and a US legal entity, which is the one most of our clients are used to contracting with.
In practice it covers five or more time zones without anyone working night shifts. Clients in New York, Toronto, London, Berlin, Barcelona, Tallinn and Sydney get real overlap with our hours instead of a twelve-hour handover queue — which is why the map below is a fair description of the business rather than a decoration.

How Applefy works
Applefy runs the same six stages on every project. The scale changes; the stages do not get skipped.
- 01
Discover
We map the product, the users, and the constraints before anyone writes code — scope, architecture, integrations, and the risks worth designing around.
- 02
Design
User flows, wireframes, and a working prototype, then the interface system itself. You approve something you can click, not a document.
- 03
Develop
Engineering in reviewable increments, with third-party and backend integrations handled by the same team rather than subcontracted out.
- 04
Test
QA on real devices, performance profiling, and a security pass — encryption, authentication, and data handling checked against the obligations your market imposes.
- 05
Launch
Store submission, release infrastructure, and go-live support. We stay on the release, including the first review rejection if there is one.
- 06
Support
OS updates, API changes, security patches, and feature iterations — usually on a retainer, because a shipped product is the start of its lifetime, not the end.
What we hold to
Quality over speed
A rushed build saves months now and costs multiples of that to unpick later. We plan thoroughly and test properly, and we tell you when a date is about to be paid for in architecture.
You own everything
Source code, design files, infrastructure, and IP are yours from the first commit. No proprietary platform, no lock-in, and no licence you have to keep paying to keep your own product running.
One team, start to finish
The people who scope the work build it. There is no handover to a delivery pod you have never met and no rotating cast between sprints.
Security designed in
Our founder’s background is cybersecurity. Encryption, secure authentication, GDPR and HIPAA obligations, and audit trails are decided in architecture, not bolted on the week before launch.
Accessible by default
Interfaces are built to WCAG standards, tested with keyboard and screen readers. A product that excludes users is a product with a smaller market.
We say no
We would rather lose the work than take a project we cannot do well — a three-week build on a small fixed budget, or a race to the cheapest bid. Turning that down in the first call is the same honesty you will want from us in month four, when it costs more to hear.
Milestones
Applefy is young, and we would rather date the story precisely than imply a longer one.
- Jan 2023
Applefy starts
Denys founds Applefy as a founder-led studio while still shipping enterprise iOS at New Look — no entity, no office, one engineer taking work he could stand behind.
- 2024
Applefy LLC incorporated
The studio becomes a company, registered in Delaware, USA. What had been one engineer taking work he could stand behind becomes something with a payroll and a bench behind it.
- Jan 2025
MSc in cybersecurity completed
Denys finishes a master’s in Computer and Information Systems Security at Lviv Polytechnic National University — the reason security is an architecture decision here rather than a pre-launch checklist.
- Aug 2025
Mellow ships on iOS and watchOS
A Berlin health client needed urgent support across both platforms. We joined mid-flight, got up to speed very quickly — their words — and delivered in August 2025.
- Feb 2026
Kiolfast launches
iOS, Android, and backend for construction and field services, built for iPhone and iPad on iOS 15+ — a whole job’s money in one shared workspace.
- Today
30+ specialists, clients on four continents
Fintech, construction tech, and health and wellness, delivered from Valencia and Ukraine to clients in twelve cities — with the engagements above still running.
A track record you can verify
Everything above is checkable somewhere other than this page. Each of these goes to the source rather than to another page of ours — that is the standard we would apply to anyone asking us for a six-figure budget, so it is the one we hold ourselves to.
