The engagement
BitCoinPay Trade has been on the App Store since March 2021 and is now past its nineteenth minor release. Applefy owns the iOS client: we build the features, ship the releases, and keep a trading app that handles other people’s money stable through every iOS version that lands under it. It is the kind of work that never makes a launch announcement and matters more than one — an exchange that goes down during a move is an exchange nobody comes back to.
The trading terminal
The centrepiece is a real terminal, not a price ticker. Candlestick charts switch between 15-minute, hourly, four-hour and daily ranges; a live order book runs bid against ask down to the fourth decimal; order history sits one tab away. Buy and sell stay pinned within thumb reach at the bottom of the screen, because the whole point of a mobile terminal is acting on a move you spotted somewhere else.
Orders that behave like a desk
Limit, market and stop-limit orders are all placed from the same sheet, with steppers for price, amount and total, and 25/50/75/100% shortcuts against available balance so a position can be sized without arithmetic. Open orders list underneath with a cancel on each — the trader can see what is still working in the market without leaving the pair they are watching.
Swap
Not everyone wants a terminal. Swap is the plain path: pick two assets, type an amount on a full-screen keypad, and confirm — with a “swap max” shortcut for emptying a balance cleanly. One flow serves the user who came to trade and the user who came to move money and leave.
Wallets
Balances are held in a multi-currency wallet — VERUM, USDT, BNB, LUMEO, LTC, VETRA, BCH and more — with an estimated total in BTC at the top, a hide-zero-balances filter for accounts that accumulate dust, and separate Trading and Web3 views. Deposit and withdrawal run from the same screen.
Security and compliance
The exchange states that it operates under European Union regulatory frameworks, with KYC/AML verification, cold storage for held assets and two-factor authentication on accounts. Those are the operator’s commitments; Applefy’s responsibility is the client that has to honour them on device — session handling, authentication flows, and a release process careful enough for an app where a bad build costs real money. The app ships in English, Russian, Serbian, Turkish and Ukrainian and requires iOS 15 or later.
